Dangerous Dogs: Breed Or Owner To Blame? Most Say Owner

I totally agree about not hitting. I read some book, can't remember the name that emphasized that and I never hit our dog and I was amazed at how just using words and tone of voice could so easily control him. When I was a kid we had a dog and my parents used to hit him all the time and he was never under control.

BTW, this is a bit of a tangent but dog training is one of the data points I like to use when talking to people who advocate corporal punishment for children. You wouldn't hit your dog (at least if you know anything about dog training) so why in the world would you hit your child?
