Foxhole Faith: The Value Of Prayer When We Are Vulnerable

You still haven't answered my initial question. The fact that so many Christians gladly go off to war indicates that they don't really believe their faith. If Jesus was unequivocal about anything it was that anger and evil should be met with peace and love not with war. If you believe that Jesus was the son of God and that you have an eternity waiting for you after you die if you follow him why would you care at all about fighting a "just war"? (actually I think most "just wars" are far from being that but for the sake of argument we can ignore that). If you really believe in Jesus you should want to live as He lived and follow his example and nothing could be further from that than killing people in a war. The fact that if you don't fight a "just war" shouldn't matter in the least. Why worry about a few years of injustice suffered on earth when the reward is an eternity of bliss in heaven?
